TLC: A Crumb-By-Crumb Care Manual

Caring for your cookies:

If purchased fresh at a market or from one of our stockists:
Cookies will stay fresh for 5-7 days when kept in their original heat-sealed packaging.
If you’d like to save them for later, they can be frozen for up to 6 months in their original packaging or in any freezer-safe container or zip-top freezer bag.

If purchased frozen from one of our stockists:
Cookies can be thawed using the instructions below, or kept frozen until you’re ready to enjoy.
They can be frozen for up to 6 months, and may be safely refrozen as long as they remain sealed.
Once thawed, enjoy within 5 days for the best texture and flavour.

If purchased online:
For peak freshness, enjoy your cookies within 5 days of receiving them.
They can also be frozen for up to 6 months in their original packaging or a freezer-safe bag or container.

Once opened:
If you’ve opened the heat-sealed packaging, or only eaten half a cookie, you can store the remainder in an airtight container or zip-top bag at room temperature for 3–5 days. If you’d prefer to save it for later, it can also be frozen when placed in a freezer-safe bag or container.

Thawing:
Remove cookies from the freezer and thaw at room temperature for 30 minutes to 1 hour, or thaw in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
Prefer them cold? They can also be enjoyed straight from the freezer for a firmer, fudgier bite — perfect for crumbling over ice cream or making an instant cookie sundae. For the classic soft-and-gooey texture, serve at room temperature or follow the warm-up instructions below.

To serve warm:
Follow the warm-up instructions below!

Warm-Up Instructions:

Step 1: Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Remove cookies from their packaging and place on a lined baking sheet.

Step 3: *If the cookies are at room temperature, bake for 3 – 5 minutes, or until heated through. OR *If the cookies are frozen, bake for 5 – 8min, or until heated through.

Note: Toaster ovens are an option as well, following the same steps above. Make sure to keep an eye on the heating time as it may reach desired temperature in less time. Microwaving is not recommended as it may dry out the cookies, but it is still an option. Heat for 5 – 10 seconds *if the cookie is at room temperature OR 10 – 20 seconds *if the cookie is frozen.

Attention: Be mindful that heating / warming times, and heating temperatures may vary as all appliances are different. Keep a watchful eye on your cookies when warming them up, as to not overheat or burn them.

Step 4: After the cookies come out of the oven let them cool for about a minute, and savour the aroma.

Step 5: After patiently waiting that extra minute, you can now enjoy your deliciously warm cookie!

We highly suggest adding a scoop of your favourite ice cream to your warmed up cookie. You can thank us later!
